In addition to his duties as senior manager for Brant Hickey, David specializes in the areas of handling complex claims from a structured settlement solution perspective. Over his nearly two decades in the field, Mr. Hickey has assisted clients across the globe in providing structured settlement assistance to a variety of cases. Most recognizable are his efforts in high profile cases including Pan Am 103 Lockerbie, Scotland, 911 Victims Compensation Fund, Combe South Landfill, Korean Air 801, World Trade Center, Silk Air 185 and numerous U.S. Department of Justice cases involving pollution and medical malpractice matters. Using Capital Needs Analysis, David often creates innovative financial solutions which result in earlier case settlement with preservation of both expense and time. Mr. Hickey has pioneered partnership arrangements to provide life care planning and economic analysis for a multitude of exposures. He regularly meets with his clients and attends all settlement conferences and mediations to provide on site counsel and presentations.

David strives to create bridge solutions that allow both parties in an action to reach a successful conclusion. Once the case is concluded Mr. Hickey oversees all document production to insure a smooth and seamless conclusion. His knowledge of regulatory agencies, government offices and the carrier marketplace is a key factor to his high success rate in structuring outcomes for his clients. Current representations include Chartis Insurance, CNA Insurance, Pa Medical Catastrophe Loss Fund, US Army Claims Service, US DOJ, University of Pennsylvania and numerous public and private enterprises. David also works closely with Feinberg and Rozen developing innovative solutions to long term pollution, asbestos and other mass tort injury matters.

Mr. Hickey oversees the areas of specialized services for complex claims involving wrongful death, product liability, medical malpractice and mass torts. David has pioneered a partnership arrangement, which provides life care planning, medical case management and economic loss analysis for clients seeking to successfully negotiate case settlement. He also has responsibility for attending settlement conferences and mediations on behalf of Fortune 500 clients, insurance carriers and U.S. governmental agencies.

Mr. Hickey is holder of the Society of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) designation, and a graduate of the Leadership Pittsburgh program. He is a member of the National Structured Settlement Trade Association (NSSTA) and has served on the Legislation and Regulation Subcommittee.
