Richard Hitchins joined the Brant Hickey team in 2007 to lead the South Florida office. Mr. Hitchins’ main focus is personal injury settlements related to automobile accidents, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, workmen’s compensation claims, and wrongful death. In addition, he works in the area of guardianships, special needs trusts, and non-qualified structured settlements. He is a member of the National Structured Settlement Trade Association.

Richard is an Eagle Scout and served as an officer in the US Army’s Green Beret Airborne Special Forces. He received his BA from the University of Vermont and his MBA from Rutgers University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner. He has over 30 years of experienced helping individuals plan their insurance needs, their cash flow needs, and their tax reduction strategies.

Richard is married to Betsy, a Delta Air Lines Flight Attendant. They live with their two children in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
