John brings both legal and claims experience to his clients. John most recently served as a civil litigation attorney in the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, practicing in both state and federal courts. John handled complex litigation filed against the State and its employees.

John served as a Claims Judge Advocate at the US Army Claims Service. In this capacity, John evaluated, negotiated, and settled high value tort claims filed against the Army under the Federal Tort Claims Act in various jurisdictions. Subject matter included medical malpractice, wrongful death, personal injury, toxic and environmental, and property damage. John was responsible for interviewing claimants, witnesses, doctors, and expert witnesses; John also utilized expert opinions, economic reports, life care plans, structured settlements and medical trusts to negotiate settlements requiring approval by the Department of Justice and the Assistant U.S. Attorney General.

John began his legal career as a Judge Advocate General in the Army. In his first assignment, John provided legal counsel to Soldiers and their families on matters involving taxes, wills/trusts, estate planning and various other personal and family matters. John developed a deep appreciation and understanding for the various challenges people and families face on a daily basis.

John received his B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross where he was a Division I lacrosse goalie and Army ROTC Battalion Commander. He received his J.D. from the Villanova University School of Law where he served on the Honor Board. He is licensed to practice law in New Hampshire and Pennsylvania.

John and his wife Katy (a family doctor) reside in Durham, New Hampshire. They have two children, Jack and Maggie. Both are active members of their communities.
